not to start anything, because i have seen what i am about to say get negative....I had a blue ox origianally and now have the hensley. i experienced what you did with the 1st hitch....now i don't worry about the trucks. As a matter of fact my 4x4 selenoid started acting up a couple of weeks ago making a crazy loud grinding sound. i would have to pull over and let it engage/disengage, then head out again. i was on a couple of hiways doing 45 in the slow lane and was being passed by truck doing 60-70 and did not have this issue(being pulled and sway)....oh and the part was a 25.00 fix, can you believe it!

hey dave, all are correct. you need a brake control. I would think the rental place would have all this stuff, especially if you aren't pulling normally? are you the same dave that used to frequent the f150 site? sure got boring there. always got a laugh at your fun times. have a safe trip! camping can be alot of fun....

we just got back from a long weekend in lancaster county and when I backed into our home i noticed both were open on mine also....? I thought my brother in law was messing with me. he swears he did not do it...now i wonder...hmmmmm

we got the part from hensley the day before we headed out! worked out great. i almost figured once i ordered the new one the old one would magically reappear.....no such luck there. just figured i would post back how it worked out...thanks guys.

do you guys know what the correct name is for the hensley tool so i can order a new one. i used for the time being a wrench designed to help remove a faucet. it has a self locking jaw and a long handle that swivels, i am not sure how much this can take however, so i am definately after the right tool. thanks..

part for hensley hookup
just getting the rv ready to go for next thursday and went to hook up the truck to the rv and cannot find the wrench with the box end to lock the stinger to the arrow. don't know the exact name but was wondering if anyone had an extra or an idea. i used a pair of channel lockes just to be able to move it to clean her up....i am in allentown pa. called hensley and not in on a saturday? looks like about an inch square. will have to look to see if i have an open end wrench that big. like the extra torque you get with the correct tool though....any thoughts ideas and part name appreciated....thanks.

the very 1st day we brought our 25' copper canyon home the wife had me pulling out the dinnette. basically we made it into an "L" shapped seating area. we had the heater under the one seat on the far wall. the hardest part i found were the screws that were put in thru the fridge area into the back of the seat surrounds. they were put in before the fridge. i was not about to take our fridge out so i just worked it slowly to get the wood off...using a reciprocating saw and a metal plate to protect the wall. then i dremelled the screws that were sticking out. patience and it is better. we don't need a dinnette, we eat on the picnic table or on our laps....just adults going out.....
